Parents Day Out

Schedule:

Tuesday and Thursdays: 9 AM - 2:30 PM.

The Parents' Day Out Program of First Baptist Church is a non-profit early childhood education program established in 1989 as a ministry to our church members and the local community. It is a weekly two-day (Tuesday and Thursday) program open to children between the ages one and four. Enrollment is open to any child in the community with priority for registration given to First Baptist  members. The Parents Day Out Program is an outreach of First Baptist Lebanon and is a part of the church's ministry to the community. The church would like to offer support to parents and a church home to those families who do not have one. The purpose of the Parents Day Out Program is to provide a warm, loving, Christian atmosphere where children can develop mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Under the guidance of our teachers, each child is encouraged to develop their unique individuality while learning to work and play in a group situation. Children will learn to accept the differences in individuals without regard to nationality, gender, race, or religious background.

Goals:

1. Play cooperatively
2. Follow instructions
3. Feel secure in school
4. Listen
5. Work independently
6. Have a growing and developing love for God through activities that teach about God's world and His love for children

Pre-Kindergarten

Schedule:

Tuesday and Thursdays: 9 AM - 2:30 PM.

First Baptist Lebanon enters the field of sponsored Weekday Early Education because it is our belief that young children acquire Christian attitudes and actions by everyday influences in their lives. We claim Proverbs 22:6 as our scriptural reference: "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Because of this belief we have established a program we feel is designed to do just that. Our program is planned to meet a child's need; therefore, tasks are developed to their needs, interests, and abilities. The day your child enters pre-kindergarten is the beginning of an important phase in his or her life. Since birth, you, as a parent, have borne the full responsibility for the growth and development of your child. Now the pre-kindergarten program will start to share in that responsibility with you.

Goals:

1. Play cooperatively
2. Follow instructions
3. Feel secure in school
4. Listen
5. Work independently
6. To develop a foundation for learning language, literacy, math, science, art, and music
